Position Overview

Viva Wellness Psychotherapy Center is looking for dedicated and passionate Licensed Mental Health Counselors to join our team of professionals committed to transforming lives through exceptional mental health services. As a counselor, you will engage with clients in a supportive and flexible remote setting, providing personalized care to help them navigate their mental health challenges. You will have the autonomy to choose your own hours, ensuring a healthy work-life balance while maintaining a full caseload.

About the Organization

At Viva Wellness Psychotherapy Center, our mission is clear: we strive to enrich lives by offering a high-end, boutique counseling experience. Located in Bakersfield, California, our community health clinic has become a trusted resource for individuals seeking mental health support. We prioritize providing a fulfilling work environment for our therapists, allowing them to concentrate on delivering exceptional therapy rather than getting bogged down with administrative tasks. Our dedicated administration team handles all business and marketing needs, ensuring that you can focus solely on your practice.

Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing you to conduct therapy sessions from the comfort of your own home. Using cutting-edge telehealth technology, you will have the flexibility to connect with clients through virtual platforms. Our administrative team is always ready to assist, ensuring that you have everything you need to provide an impactful therapeutic experience. Working within a positive and vibrant team culture, you will be part of a collaborative effort to enhance client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive initial assessments and evaluations to accurately gauge clients' mental health status, leading to effective treatment planning.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that align with the unique goals and needs of each client.
  • Provide individual therapy sessions for adult clients using evidence-based and solution-focused therapeutic approaches, tailored to each client's circumstances.
  • Utilize teletherapy platforms to offer flexible, remote therapy sessions, adapting techniques to suit virtual interactions.
  • Engage in crisis intervention services as needed, providing immediate support to clients facing acute challenges.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay informed on the latest mental health practices, ensuring you provide the highest level of care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on adult clients dealing with a variety of mental health concerns, ranging from anxiety and depression to relational issues and life transitions. We value each client as an individual and strive to create a safe and trusting environment where they can express their thoughts and feelings freely. As part of our team, you will engage closely with these clients, utilizing your therapeutic skills to empower them and facilitate their growth.

Qualifications
  • A valid and current license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
  • A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills that foster positive client relationships.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities to efficiently manage caseloads.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience providing teletherapy services, with an understanding of the nuances involved in virtual counseling.
  • Prior experience working with diverse adult client populations and familiarity with a variety of therapeutic modalities.
  • Proficiency in crisis intervention methods and the ability to respond effectively to urgent client needs.
Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $104,000 per year, commensurate with your caseload and experience. Additionally, our generous benefits package includes comprehensive health insurance with dental and vision coverage, professional liability insurance, and a retirement savings plan with company matching. We provide unlimited referrals to help you build your client base and support your career growth.

Career Growth Opportunities

At Viva Wellness Psychotherapy Center, we foster an environment of continuous learning and professional development. You will have access to workshops, training sessions, and mentorship opportunities, enabling you to expand your therapeutic skills and knowledge. As our center grows, you will have the opportunity to take on leadership roles and contribute to the development of new programs, furthering your career in a meaningful way.

Why Join Our Team

Choosing to work at Viva Wellness Psychotherapy Center means becoming part of a dedicated team that values your expertise and supports your professional journey. Our collaborative culture, combined with exceptional administrative support, enables you to focus on delivering quality care to your clients. If you are passionate about making a difference in people’s lives and are looking for a rewarding role that offers flexibility and support, we invite you to apply today and join us in our mission to enrich lives.
