Are you a self-motivated, high-energy, experienced Dispatcher who is looking to take your career to the next level with an ever-growing, essential-industry leader? We are growing and currently in search of a Utility Dispatcher to join our team!

UTILITY DISPATCHER DUTIES: Coverage for Dispatchers that are out for vacation/leave of absence, yard checks, redelivery validation.

At DCI Dispatchers are the oil that keeps our machine (terminal) running smoothly. If you are an agile individual who can pivot to prioritize to handle sudden route changes or delivery issues apply today!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispatch truck drivers for pick-ups at customer locations, local ports, and railroads
  • Confirm proper bookings and billings to meet customer requirements
  • Enter data in the computer for planning and general information
  • Provide necessary communications to the terminal regarding specific customer requests
  • Be willing to work extended hours to meet and exceed customer needs

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience in the trucking and/or intermodal transportation industry.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and Safety Compliance
  • Familiarity with DOT safety compliance
  • Thrives off working in a high paced environment
  • Ability to prioritize/multitask
  • Computer Savvy
