Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Insurance Claims Project Manager to join our Insurance Claims Division. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance restoration, construction management, and project management, with the ability to effectively manage mitigation and reconstruction losses from start to finish. Proficiency with Xactimate and construction management software is required, along with excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.

This role is responsible for ensuring that insurance claims are managed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with company policies while providing exceptional service to clients, adjusters, and internal team members. The successful candidate must be able to read blueprints, interpret Xactimate scopes, coordinate project schedules, and oversee all aspects of claim-related construction work.

Candidates must possess strong interpersonal skills, sound business judgment, and proven experience managing insurance restoration projects. Previous experience as an insurance adjuster, restoration project manager, mitigation manager, or project manager for a general contractor specializing in insurance repairs is highly preferred.

Job Summary:

A project manager is responsible for assisting the Insurance claim team with the initial project walkthrough and estimate process along with sales pipeline follow-up to secure and win future projects. After the sale of a project, a project manager is responsible for planning and overseeing the specific project or a wide range of different construction projects from beginning to end. As a project manager, you oversee all aspects of the building process, working closely with engineers and architects to develop plans, establish timetables, and determine labor and material costs. As a project manager, you are also responsible for procuring all materials and labor needed to complete the jobs that you are managing in a timely manner. You are responsible for hiring and managing subcontractors and employees, gathering permits, and ensuring all aspects of the project are up to code & budget. The main project manager responsibilities are selling future projects, overall project planning, distributing resources, time management, risk management, creating benchmarks, managing the budget, managing staff, managing client project progress payments, and managing relationships with key project stakeholders.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:                                               

·       Project supervision of laborers and subcontractors assigned to each job.

·       Relationship management of project key stakeholders.

Duties/Responsibilities:

·       Manage the entire insurance claims process from initiation to resolution.

·       Review and analyze claims documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.

·       Collaborate with team to gather necessary information related to claims.

·       Can draw sketches of home's layouts for Xactimate use.

·       Matterport scan homes for estimating software (this is a teachable item and is not a requirement to have experience in for hire).

·       Utilize Builder Trend (CRM System) for tracking and managing claims.

·       Type estimates and invoices in Xactimate, includes creating supplements.

·       Conduct thorough investigations of claims, including site visits.

·       Maintain contact with adjusters throughout claims, manage detailed records of all claims activities and communications.

·       Prepare reports on claim status and outcomes for upper management.

·       Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies regarding insurance claims.

·       Oversee construction projects from beginning to end.

·       Manage the budget and estimate costs.

·       Determine the necessary equipment, materials, and manpower needed for the project.

·       Keep track of inventory, tools, and equipment.

·       Ensure supplies and equipment are ordered and delivered according to schedule.

·       Report multiple times a day regarding job status to clients.

·       Resolve any problems that may arise during the project.

·       Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.

·       Evaluate project risks and report as needed to executive leadership.

·       Train and mentor construction laborers.

·       Collaborate with subcontractors, engineers, architects, and key team members of the project team.

·       Negotiate with external vendors on contract agreements.

·       Obtain the appropriate permits and licenses from authorities for construction sites.

·       Plan construction operations.

·       Ensure all project deadlines are met.

·       Coordinate with accounting to ensure all payments are made by the client according to the payment schedule on the agreed upon project estimate, proposal, and/or contract.

·       Coordinate with accounting to ensure that all job costs are accounted for.

·       Allocate and manage resources to ensure that they are available when they are needed throughout the construction projects.

·       Uploads Daily Logs with information about work performed and progress pictures.

·       Submits all receipts for materials and tools both picked up or purchased through Expensify.

·       Keep all stakeholders aware of the progress on projects and prepare progress reports, regularly.

·       Handle any environmental or local community issues that may come up during a project.

·       Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

·       Extensive previous work experience managing budgets for construction projects.

·       Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.

·       Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

·       Demonstrated ability to build positive working relationships and collaborate with others.

·       Excellent knowledge of construction materials and equipment.

·       Understanding of construction management processes.

·       Able to plan ahead and coordinate schedules.

·       Familiar with construction and project management software programs (Buildertrend, Expensify, Xactimate etc.)

·       Excellent knowledge of relevant construction rules and regulations as well as quality standards and human resources.

·       Conflict resolution and conflict management experience.

·       Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

·       Able to multitask with a strong understanding of core manager duties.

·       Excellent communication skills and interpersonal abilities, including negotiation skills.

Education and Experience:

·       Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business or related field and/or equivalent experience in construction management.

We are a family owned General Contracting company, and our office is located in North Denver, we have been serving the Denver Metro area for over 20 plus years, and 8 years as K&D Development. We offer free estimates to any potential clients and are very knowledgeable and oriented in our field. Our company can handle anything from full home builds, remodels, handyman work, small jobs, and we specialize in mitigation and reconstruction, after damage, including water damage and remediation, mold, fire, hail, wind, smoke, etc. interior and exterior work, the sky is literally limitless here.
