Senior Electrical Technician
Location: San Francisco, California
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shift (onsite) with occasional weekend support as needed.
Contract To Hire: convert to FTE after 6 months
A growing automation and robotics company is seeking a hands-on Senior Electrical Technician to support the build, troubleshooting, and deployment of advanced equipment and automation systems. This role is ideal for someone with a strong maintenance/electrical technician background who enjoys problem-solving, working independently, and mentoring others.
Automotive experience is a plus, but not required. Candidates from robotics, manufacturing, automation, semiconductor, warehouse automation, or other technical environments are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
  • Build and wire electrical cabinets and harnesses
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues onsite and remotely
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and sensor documentation
  • Support system testing, repairs, and installations
  • Mentor/supervise technicians and collaborate with engineering and hardware teams
  • Diagnose issues independently in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications
Required:
  • Strong hands-on electrical troubleshooting experience
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation
  • Experience with cabinet building and harness wiring
  • Knowledge of low-voltage DC systems (24V-48V) and AC power (110V, 240V, 480V)
  • Strong troubleshooting mindset with the ability to work independently
  • High attention to wiring quality and craftsmanship

Preferred:
  • Automotive, robotics, or automation experience
  • Exposure to robotic systems (Fanuc a plus)
  • PLC wiring experience (programming not required)
  • Experience in fast-paced or startup-like environments
