Job description

This is a Flex position with required weekend hours Saturday and Sunday shifts 7:00am -3:00pm and possible additional hours during the week to cover call offs in our Dispatch Center working on site in Whitmore Lake, MI

Training shifts will be between 7am-3pm.

Flex " on call" work shifts to be covered will vary between 7am-10pm M-F not to exceed 8 hours in a day.

Join People's Express Inc.

We are seeking a detail-oriented, friendly, and outgoing organized employee to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing reservations, coordinating transportation logistics, and ensuring efficient fleet operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Take a trip request and repeat it back to the client for confirmation
  • Determine the number of passengers to be transported
  • Minimize the amount a client is placed on hold
  • Schedule trips for driving, creating daily efficient routes

- Handle incoming reservation requests and inquiries promptly and professionally
- Communicate effectively with drivers, dispatchers, and customers to ensure timely service
- Maintain accurate records of reservations, routes, and fleet status
- Collaborate with the logistics team to streamline operations and ensure efficiency
- Utilize Routing Box Software for reservation tracking

Clients:

  • Communicate information on the trip to be scheduled, if we are unable to accommodate then work with client to find alternate times to meet their needs
  • Inform the customer of the drop off window
  • Understand all People's Express service areas and how to put fares in correctly.
  • Ensure that all clients understand our policies when booking certain trips

Customer Service:

  • Express our mission and values to the public
  • Serve as a representative of People's Express, Inc.
  • Follow up phone calls with all clients for trips
  • Program arrivals in scheduling software no earlier than 30 minutes prior to appointment or desired arrival time

Experience:

- Prior experience in reservations, customer service or call center required
- Strong communication skills and phone etiquette
- Knowledge of dispatching procedures and logistics operations
- Experience with Routing Box or similar medical scheduling software

- 2+ years working in dispatching is required

- 1+ years in customer service is required

Experience in transportation is required

Computer literate and proficient in EXCEL, WORD other MS software
