Looking for the ability to make an impact as a key part of a dedicated, diverse, and growing company? If so, Auto Driveaway Systems, LLC is seeking an energetic, safety-focused, and detail-oriented Claims Coordinator to handle the administration and resolution of vehicle, cargo, and liability claims with one of the largest professional vehicle logistics and relocation companies in the United States.


The Claims Coordinator will work closely with drivers, operations leaders, and the broader safety team to ensure prompt, efficient, and appropriate management and resolution of claims. This role will also serve as a liaison to insurance carriers, third-party administrators (TPAs), and repair facilities to ensure progress, appropriate claim handling, cost control, and regulatory compliance. The position plays a key role in safety initiatives by analyzing incidents, determining preventability, and supporting corrective actions in furtherance of Auto Driveawayโ€™s goal to drive to zero incidents and accidents.


Auto Driveaway is a leading national provider of professional vehicle relocation services. Auto Driveaway primarily serves large corporate fleets, fleet management companies, upfitters, dealerships and vehicle OEMs with fast, safe, and reliable door-to-door driveaway and trucked transportation service nationwide. Services include fleet shipping and fleet management services; single vehicle โ€œdoor-to-door driveawayโ€ shipping; expedited shipping; enclosed carrier shipping for high-value vehicles; international (overseas) shipping; short-term and long-term vehicle storage; licensing, titling, and registration of vehicles; and vehicle maintenance and reconditioning services.



Role and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the processes and intake of all claims, including vehicle accidents, cargo/property damage, and third-party liability incidents
  • Act as the primary liaison between drivers, internal departments, insurance carriers, third-party administrators (TPAs), and repair vendors
  • Ensure timely reporting of incidents to insurance providers and proper documentation in accordance with DOT and company requirements
  • Monitor and track open claims, proactively following up to ensure timely resolution and cost containment
  • Review accident reports, driver statements, police reports, and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Assist in determining whether accidents are preventable or non-preventable based on company safety standards and industry guidelines
  • Partner with Safety and Operations teams to assign and track remedial driver training following preventable incidents
  • Coordinate vehicle inspections, repair estimates, and communication with body shops or maintenance vendors
  • Maintain detailed and organized records of all claims, correspondence, and supporting documentation in claims management systems
  • Conduct root cause analysis of accidents and claims to identify contributing factors such as driver behavior, equipment failure, or environmental conditions
  • Analyze trends in claims activity (e.g., frequency, severity, type of incidents) to support risk reduction strategies
  • Prepare regular reports on claims status, costs, and trends for leadership
  • Assist with regulatory compliance, audits, and insurance renewals by providing accurate claims data and documentation
  • Support subrogation efforts and recovery opportunities when applicable
  • Grow Auto Driveawayโ€™s reputation as the driveaway company of choice across the United States


Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • College degree required
  • 1โ€“3 years of experience in transportation, fleet operations, claims administration, or insurance claim handling
  • Working knowledge of transportation industry practices, including DOT regulations and fleet safety standards
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple claims simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with drivers, vendors, and insurance representatives
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation and follow-up capabilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Familiarity with accident investigation and preventability standards in the trucking industry
  • Experience working with telematics, dash cam footage, or other data sources in claims or safety reviews
  • Understanding of cargo claims, liability exposure, and insurance coverage types (auto liability, physical damage, cargo)
  • Ability to analyze data and identify actionable safety improvements
  • Meticulous attention to detail
