What You Will Be Doing:
The purpose of the CRS Fleet Administrator is to provide optimal fleet utilization for the Yancey Rents Division. The Fleet Administrator performs multiple duties related to fleet acquisition and performance, vendor performance and internal customer service to achieve the greatest return on investment for Yancey Rents. To be effective, the Fleet Coordinator must establish an understanding of the following objectives and accountabilities.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with Fleet Manager to ensure customer expectations are met as relates to fleet availability.
  • Oversee and/or perform processes related to fleet acquisition, disposal, and reporting as necessary. This includes managing the equipment inspection/photography, trade packages, etc.
  • Work with Allied vendors to obtain equipment quotes for rental and re-sale equipment and facilitate the acquisition.
  • Work closely with Fleet Manager to identify and market rental equipment for sale, report equipment added to the fleet, and prepare forecast reports for Sales Operations and CFO.
  • Work with branch managers to increase utilization and profitability through equipment re-allocation to other branches, seasonal fleet planning, managing slow rents, developing detailed fleet plans, etc.
  • Identify and act on warranty collection opportunities via down equipment analysis, major failures, and maintenance records.
  • Assist in any other fleet management functions as needed and assigned.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Participate in required safety program, and work in a safe manner.
  • Additional duties as assigned by manager.

To be successful in this position you should be able to understand the different products and features we rent and be able to work closely with the Fleet team to insure fleet availability. You should possess a strong sense of urgency and desire to provide superior customer service. The ability to take direction and work in a team environment is essential to this position as well.
Education/Experience:
  • High school diploma or related equivalent required.
  • Four year college degree from an accredited institution.
  • 1-3 years of industry experience.

Required Qualifications/Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of the products that we rent (to include the work-tools / attachments that accompany machines).
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as this position will frequently contact people via email, phone, and in person.
  • Must have strong knowledge of construction equipment.
  • Must have strong computer skills (Excel; IRent preferred).
  • Must have strong sales and operations aptitude.
  • Must be a leader.
  • Must be able to analyze problems and develop solutions.
  • This person must be highly organized and analytical with an advanced attention to detail.
