WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, inspect and repair our customers Class 8 Commercial Tractors Trailers, their bodies, system and components.
  • Writing detailed work orders - working Mobile Road Calls and/or In Yard.
  • Provide quality customer service, including responding promptly to client queries.
  • Performing preventative maintenance and inspecting, servicing, and replacing tractor and trailer parts, including tires, hubs, and axles, adjusting or replacing as required.
  • Checking and repairing the brake, electrical, and hydraulic system; Testing all systems and equipment for performance issues.
  • Ensuring that trailers meet the U.S. Department of Transportation's road safety requirements.
  • Compiling inspection reports, documenting repairs, and reporting all findings to management.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE:

  • 5+ years of experience repairing Commercial Tractor and Trailers.
  • Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record & no suspensions.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
  • Comfortable working with Computers for billing and work orders.
  • Follows verbal and written work orders to stay on track with daily repairs.
  • Confident explaining a diagnosis over the phone and helping the customer decide next steps on repairs.
