We're looking for a Fleet Asset & Fuel Manager to oversee the lifecycle, performance, and optimization of our private delivery fleet across our distribution network. This role combines fleet management, fuel strategy, vendor management, financial analysis, and regulatory compliance to keep our assets safe, reliable, and cost-efficient.


What You'll Be Doing

  • Oversee the procurement, leasing, maintenance, utilization, replacement, and decommissioning of tractors, trailers, and fleet assets.
  • Partner with DCs and maintenance providers to maximize fleet uptime and ensure preventative maintenance and repairs are completed efficiently.
  • Manage fuel programs, including fuel cards, procurement, vendor relationships, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Analyze fuel usage, MPG, idle time, fleet utilization, and maintenance costs to identify opportunities for greater efficiency.
  • Manage IFTA tracking and filing, DOT/FMCSA compliance, and audit-ready fleet records.
  • Manage relationships, contracts, SLAs, and performance with leasing, maintenance, and fuel vendors.
  • Support transportation CapEx planning and long-term fleet replacement strategies.
  • Use fleet technology and telematics to monitor performance and support data-driven decisions.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to reduce fleet costs and improve sustainability.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for an analytical, strategic fleet professional who understands both the operational and financial sides of commercial fleet management and can effectively partner with teams across the organization.


Required Qualifications

  • Commercial fleet management experience, preferably with tractors, trailers, or heavy-duty vehicles.
  • Knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, and IFTA requirements.
  • Experience with fleet maintenance, fuel programs, and vendor management.
  • Strong analytical and financial skills with advanced Excel or Google Sheets proficiency.
  • Ability to analyze fleet data and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Multi-location fleet management experience.
  • Experience with fleet management or telematics systems such as Samsara, Netradyne, Omnitracs/XRS, or FleetView.
  • Experience with fleet leasing providers such as Ryder or Penske.
  • Experience with CapEx planning, fleet replacement, fuel efficiency, or sustainability initiatives.
