The VP Facilities is responsible for the strategic leadership and operational oversight of all Credit Union facilities, office services, physical security, safety programs, and business continuity planning. This role integrates facilities management with enterprise-wide safety and security operations to ensure the protection of employees, members, physical assets, and business operations.

The VP leads planning, design, construction, and maintenance of all owned and leased properties while overseeing physical security systems, emergency preparedness, incident response, and workplace safety programs. This position plays a critical leadership role in ensuring operational resilience, regulatory compliance, and a safe, secure environment across all locations


  • Facilities & Office Services Leadership
  • Oversee facilities management for all Credit Union locations (HQ & Branches), including its maintenance, repairs, and capital improvements.
  • Lead branch construction, remodels, lease negotiations, and real estate strategy.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, security infrastructure, etc.
  • Direct space planning, furniture standards, and workplace optimization initiatives.
  • Oversee office services including mailroom, shipping/receiving, conference services, and workplace hospitality.
  • Manage capital project planning, budgeting, vendor selection, and project execution.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, permits, environmental regulations, and OSHA requirements.
  • Oversee specialized programs such as EV charging, fitness center, fleet management, and recycling/hazardous materials handling.
  • Physical Security & Safety Operations.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing management of the organization’s physical security program, including video surveillance, access control systems, alarms, and key control.
  • Ensure protection of facilities, employees, members, and physical assets through proactive security strategies and monitoring.
  • Oversee monitoring and response protocols for security alerts, incidents, and threats.
  • Develop and maintain workplace safety programs, including Injury & Illness Prevention and OSHA compliance.
  • Lead safety training initiatives (e.g., emergency response, active threat, workplace safety awareness).
  • Chair or participate in Safety Committee activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strategic Planning & Operational Excellence
  • Develop long-term facilities and security strategies aligned with organizational growth and risk appetite.
  • Drive process improvements, automation, cost efficiencies, and vendor optimization initiatives.
  • Oversee departmental budgets, capital expenditures, and financial performance.
  • Leadership & People Management.
  • Lead and develop high-performing teams across facilities, office services, safety, and security functions.
  • Oversee hiring, training, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, service, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality service to employees, members, and internal stakeholders.

Education

  • Minimum
  • 4 Year / Bachelors Degree
  • Bachelor's Degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
  • Preferred
  • Master's Degree preferred

Experience

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in facilities management, corporate security, risk operations or related field.
  • 5+ Years of executive senior leadership experience.
  • 5 Years Experience in financial services of highly regulated industry preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Ability
  • Strong knowledge of facilities management, construction, and building systems.
  • Expertise in physical security systems, safety programs, and incident response.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, building codes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with business continuity planning and crisis management.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to balance operational execution with strategic planning.
  • Financial management and vendor negotiation expertise.
