Position Specific Description

Florida Power & Light is seeking an experienced individual for its Central Maintenance Planning team to support overhaul planning of its Combined Cycle Power Generation Fleet.

The ideal candidate shall be well organized and process oriented, have a bias for action, and excel at building relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Routine interface with site personnel, Fleet Engineering, Integrated Supply Chain, and Suppliers are required to accurately plan and coordinate maintenance for:

  • Combustion Turbines & Support Systems
  • Combustion Turbine Valves

Central Maintenance Planners require capacity to manage large workloads, flexibility when priorities shift, and the drive to meet established Major Maintenance Process commitments.  Key deliverables of this role are:

  • Performing scope validation and jobsite walk-downs
  • Establishing accurate work order cost and schedule estimates
  • Supporting procurement of materials and services

The following credentials are highly desired for the position:

  • 5yr Min of Combustion Turbine experience (Maintenance/Project Management/Planning)
  • Bachelor's in Mechanical or Marine Engineering
  • Project Management Professional Certification
  • Six Sigma Green Belt

Lastly, this position is planned to be based out of the Jim Robo Campus located in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.
