Double Shield Logistics is seeking a Freight Broker / Logistics Coordinator to join our growing transportation team. This position is responsible for quoting freight, posting loads, negotiating rates with carriers, booking trucks, tracking shipments, and providing excellent customer service from pickup through delivery.
The ideal candidate has prior trucking or transportation industry experience, is organized, detail oriented, and can effectively manage multiple shipments in a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities
• Quote freight opportunities for customers
• Post available loads on DAT, Truckstop, and other load boards
• Source and negotiate with carriers to secure capacity
• Book trucks and dispatch shipments
• Track shipments from pickup through delivery using company tracking software
• Monitor driver locations and proactively communicate delays or issues
• Update customers with shipment status and delivery information
• Build and maintain relationships with carriers and customers
• Verify carrier qualifications and compliance requirements
• Enter load information accurately into the TMS and tracking systems
• Resolve service issues quickly and professionally
• Work closely with sales and operations teams to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction
Requirements
Transportation or logistics experience preferred. We will train the right candidate with strong organizational, customer service, or operations experience.
