Key Responsibilities:
Long-Distance Travel: Safely drive trucks over long distances (typically over 300 miles) to deliver goods to various locations across the country.
Pre-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the truck is in good condition and compliant with all regulations.
Transport and Delivery: Safely load, secure, and deliver goods to customers, ensuring proper handling and care of freight.
Route Planning: Plan efficient travel routes and ensure timely delivery while considering traffic, road conditions, and delivery schedules.
Compliance: Follow all federal and state regulations regarding trucking laws, including hours of service (HOS) rules and safety standards.
