This full-time position as a field service technician requires you to perform on-site certification and repairs at our client's facilities in the Boston metro. The candidate will use their troubleshooting, repair, and testing/calibration knowledge to complete services and strive for total client satisfaction.Job Description

Essential Functions

  • Troubleshoot issues with equipment using various tools such as multimeters, thermometers, process calibrators.

  • Complete all documentation associated with service orders.

  • Support the development of calibration procedures to meet the customer requirements while supporting traceability of the measurements.

  • Maintain all equipment and standards per SOP's.

  • Other tasks as directed.

Requirements

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum two (2) years of technical field experience with a proven track record of technical resolutions.

  • Minimum two (2) years of laboratory-related experience

  • Calibration experience in one or multiple disciplines (temperature, velocity, speed, mass, etc.) highly preferred

  • HVAC experience a plus.

  • Strong, proactive time management and task management abilities

  • Able to effectively complete tasks and work independently with minimal supervision

  • Professional customer service skills and responsive communication ability

Work Environment

  • Small-to-large office environment.

  • Fast paced work environment.

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

  • Exposed to a combination of normal office type environments, active laboratory spaces, and shop environments.

The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds of office and facilities equipment (cleaning products, tools, and ladders) and trash and the ability to safely use equipment provided. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Climb a ladder to perform repairs.
