Job Summary:

Essel is currently hiring Flaggers to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be essential in ensuring the safety and smooth operation of construction sites by directing traffic and guiding vehicles and pedestrians around work zones.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Traffic Management: Control and direct the flow of traffic using appropriate signals and signs to ensure the safety of construction workers and the general public.
  • Safety Enforcement: Monitor and enforce safety regulations at the job site to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with local laws.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with team members and the public, providing clear instructions and information as needed.
  • Site Assistance: Assist with other labor duties as needed, including setting up traffic control devices and helping with site cleanup.
  • Reporting: Report any unsafe conditions or incidents to the site supervisor immediately.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Previous traffic control or flagging experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Certification: Flagging certification is a plus (training will be provided for those without certification).
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Dependability: Must be punctual, reliable, and possess a strong work ethic.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to follow directions and communicate effectively with the team and public.
