The Flagger (already certified, with flagger card) is responsible for directing and managing the flow of vehicular and pedestrian traffic around construction sites, roadworks, or other areas where temporary traffic control is needed. The role involves using hand signals, flags, and communication devices to ensure safety, minimize delays, and prevent accidents.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Traffic Control:

    • Direct traffic using hand signals, flags, and electronic devices.
    • Set up and maintain traffic control devices such as cones, signs, and barriers.
    • Monitor and adjust traffic flow based on real-time conditions and project needs.

  2. Safety Management:

    • Ensure that all traffic control measures comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
