Job description

Set Up & Process Technician oversees all tasks associated with injection molding machines, robots, dryers, grinders, and all other related equipment. The position will require assembling and disassembling machinery; entering specifications into control systems; calibrating and adjusting equipment to meet quality requirements; inspecting parts for quality; working within department to modify or adjust equipment for routine parts, new parts or process changes.
-2nd Shift Hours: Monday - Thursday: 1-10pm; Friday: 1-5pm
Duties included but not limited to the positions are:
Installing the correct molds/inserts into the correct machines
• Prepping and mixing raw materials for production
• Cleaning dryers
• Cleaning grinders
• Cleaning machine hoppers
• Cleaning machine off; put all tools away after changeover
• Using the correct tools for the job
• Answering machine alarms
• Identifying and reporting issues and potential issues to the Plant Manager
• Changing tools over according to which model is needed
• Fixing part defects
• Fixing machine faults
• Adding oil and lubricating fluid to machines as needed
• Changing machine fan filters
• Comply with all company policies and procedures
• Provide support to meet department and company objectives
• Able to communicate effectively and respectfully with all other personnel
