SUMMARY OVERVIEW
The Operations Manager DOT is responsible for overseeing all aspects of field operations, including leading the operations team, coordinating with airlines and airport authorities, and ensuring the implementation of operational procedures and policies. In addition to managing day-to-day operations, this role is key in crisis management, handling emergencies and disruptions in close collaboration with senior leadership. Continuous analysis and improvement of operational processes to increase overall efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES
โ€ข Oversee daily operations of the airport service team
โ€ข Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth and efficient airport operations
โ€ข Implement operational policies and procedures in line with company objectives and industry standards
โ€ข Ensure compliance with all DOT regulations and guidelines, including overseeing the safe and legal operation of airport vehicles, equipment, and personnel involved in airside and landside operations
โ€ข Conduct regular audits and inspections to verify adherence to DOT standards, including reviewing maintenance records, driver qualifications, and safety procedures, and provide training and updates to staff on changes in DOT regulations
โ€ข Manage staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations
โ€ข Ensure compliance with aviation regulations and safety protocols
โ€ข Monitor operational performance and implement strategies to improve productivity and service quality
โ€ข Liaise with airlines, airport authorities, and external stakeholders
โ€ข Address and resolve operational issues and passenger complaints
โ€ข Oversee the maintenance and servicing of airport equipment and facilities
โ€ข Manage budgeting and resource allocation for operational needs
โ€ข Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures
โ€ข Analyze data and reports to identify trends and areas for improvement
โ€ข Lead and motivate staff to achieve operational excellence

QUALIFICATIONS
โ€ข 18 years of age or older
โ€ข Eligible to work in the United States
โ€ข Ability to work in office, onsite, Monday-Friday
โ€ข 5 years of Leadership/Operational experience
โ€ข Established leader in managing large teams
โ€ข Project Management experience is a plus
โ€ข In-depth knowledge of airport operational procedures and regulatory requirements
โ€ข Strong leadership and team management skills
โ€ข Must have a valid state-issued driver's license with an acceptable driving record
โ€ข Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)
โ€ข Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means
โ€ข Ability to pass a DOT background check and drug screen
โ€ข Travel requirement >75% travel between airport stations and for meetings
โ€ข Must be flexible to work extended hours on occasion to support our field operations
