Brannen Motor Company is seeking an experienced General Sales Manager (GSM) to lead our sales operations at our Ford and Chevrolet dealership. While our dealership proudly represents both brands, previous Ford dealership management experience is required for this position due to our operational structure, manufacturer programs, and performance objectives.
We are looking for a proven automotive leader with a history of driving sales growth, developing high-performing teams, improving profitability, and delivering exceptional customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and understands what it takes to exceed Ford performance standards while contributing to the success of a dual-franchise dealership.
Responsibilities
  • Lead all New and Used Vehicle Sales operations.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and develop Sales Managers and Sales Consultants.
  • Drive retail sales, profitability, market share, and inventory turn.
  • Desk deals and assist managers in maximizing opportunities while maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance metrics.
  • Oversee inventory management, pricing strategies, and vehicle aging.
  • Ensure compliance with Ford manufacturer standards, dealership policies, and all applicable regulations.
  • Collaborate with Executive Management, Finance, Fixed Operations, and Marketing to achieve dealership objectives.
  • Create a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
  • Coach leadership staff through performance management and ongoing development.

Required Qualifications
  • Previous General Sales Manager, Sales Director, or Senior Sales Management experience.
  • Ford dealership management experience is REQUIRED.
  • Strong knowledge of Ford incentive programs, sales processes, inventory management, and OEM performance metrics.
  • Demonstrated success increasing sales volume, gross profit, and customer satisfaction.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with dealership CRM and DMS systems.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
