Job Description

The Fixed Assets Transformation Project Lead, Americas is a 12-month (possibly longer) fixed-term project role within GBS Record to Report, responsible for driving the stabilization, standardization, and transformation of Fixed Asset processes across North America and LATAM.

This role will lead key initiatives focused on process improvement, governance and controls enhancement, ServiceNow deployment, issue remediation, data quality improvement, knowledge transfer, and transition readiness to support BD's future-state Fixed Asset operating model. Unlike a long-term operational ownership role, the focus is on delivering transformational projects and sustainable process improvements.

Partnering closely with Global Process Owners, regional finance teams, plant and business stakeholders, technology teams, and BD's BPO partner, the Project Lead will address current process challenges, strengthen controls, improve transparency and accountability, and enable a scalable, compliant, and efficient Fixed Asset operating model across the Americas.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Execution and Stabilization

  • Support assigned Fixed Asset transformation and stabilization workstreams across the Americas, with emphasis on near-term risk reduction and sustainable process improvement.
  • Support project plans, milestones, deliverables, risks, dependencies, and status updates for in-scope Fixed Asset initiatives.
  • Support remediation of process breakdowns, recurring operational issues, and financial reporting risks by coordinating issue resolution across BD, Genpact, and regional stakeholders.
  • Document current-state activities, pain points, process gaps, and ownership handoffs to support transition planning and future-state design.

Process Standardization and Governance

  • Support the standardization of Fixed Asset processes, governance routines, and ways of working across North America and LATAM.
  • Partner with Global Process Owners and regional teams to define process requirements, standard operating procedures, role clarity, and escalation paths.
  • Assistwith the development of control-aligned documentation, process maps, decision points, and training materials for in-scope processes.
  • Identifyopportunities to simplify, standardize, and strengthen Fixed Asset activities while improving accountability and transparency.

Technology, Reporting, and Automation

  • Partner with technology teams and process owners to define requirements for ERP, reporting, workflow, and automation improvements that support Fixed Asset processes, including ServiceNow.
  • Support data integrity, reporting accuracy, and process visibility through requirements definition, testing support, and stakeholder readiness activities.
  • Evaluate opportunities to reduce manual effort, improve control evidence, and increase the effectiveness of Fixed Asset reporting and monitoring.

Stakeholder Engagement and Change Management

  • Serve as a project point of contact for regional Fixed Asset stakeholders during the transformation and stabilization period.
  • Facilitate working sessions, knowledge transfer discussions, and stakeholder alignment across BD, Genpact, GPOs, and regional finance teams.
  • Develop clear communication, training, andadoptionmaterials to support successful implementation of new or revised processes.
  • Build trusted relationships across a global, matrixed environment and influence stakeholders through periods of change.

Education Experience required:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related financial field.
  • 5 years fixed asset and or cost accounting relevant experience.

Knowledge and Skillsrequired:

  • Strong knowledge of BD internal accounting processes, including cost accounting Fixed Asset experience.
  • Strong understanding of statutory accounting principles, IFRS, GAAP, financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal control expectations.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or JDE, reporting tools, workflow tools, and process automation opportunities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and design improvement action plans.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present confidently to stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, drive accountability, and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced, global, matrixed environment.
  • High emotional intelligence, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to build trust while leading through change.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience leading finance transformation, process standardization, governance, documentation, or remediation projects.
  • GBS and BPO experience preferred.
