A large, multi-location organization is seeking an experienced Fixed Asset Manager to oversee its U.S. and Canada fixed asset portfolio.

Job Summary:
The Fixed Asset Manager oversees the full lifecycle of fixed assets across multiple systems, currencies, and branch locations. This leadership role manages a team of accountants, ensures GAAP compliance, strengthens internal controls, and partners cross-functionally with Operations, FP&A, IT, and senior leadership. The position requires strong technical expertise, a control-focused mindset, and the ability to drive process automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee capitalization, depreciation, disposals, transfers, and reconciliations across multiple sub-ledgers
  • Manage fixed asset activity across U.S. and Canada operations, including multi-currency consolidation
  • Lead and develop a team of three accountants
  • Maintain and enhance internal controls to ensure GAAP and audit compliance
  • Identify and mitigate risk within the fixed asset lifecycle
  • Drive automation and process improvement initiatives
  • Partner with Operations, FP&A, Procurement, IT, and Intercompany teams
  • Prepare and present asset reporting and insights to senior leadership
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Assist with system integrations, upgrades, and acquisition-related asset integrations

Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of progressive fixed asset accounting experience in a large, multi-location or global organization
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA preferred)
  • Deep knowledge of GAAP, tax, and internal controls related to fixed assets
  • Experience with Oracle and Sage fixed asset systems preferred
  • Hands-on experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and Excel SmartView
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint); SQL a plus
  • Experience with acquisitions and system integrations preferred
  • Proven leadership and team development experience
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills
