Asset Management Analyst
Location: Plano, TX
Schedule: 100% Onsite, Monday-Friday
Duration: Contract through June 2027
Pay Rate: $54.00 - $65.00 DOE
 
Position Overview
We are seeking an Asset Management Analyst to support a large corporate accounting team responsible for managing and maintaining fixed asset records across the organization. This role focuses on ensuring accurate accounting, reporting, depreciation tracking, asset capitalization, and compliance with accounting standards. The position works closely with finance, procurement, operations, and audit teams to maintain asset integrity and support financial reporting processes.
 
Requirements:

What you'll be doing:
Support the organization's fixed asset accounting processes and procedures.
 
Maintain and update the fixed asset register.
  Support quarterly and annual asset confirmation activities.
 
Record and monitor asset acquisitions, transfers, and disposals.
  Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations, accounting standards, and company policies.
 
Perform asset valuations and depreciation calculations.
  Prepare detailed fixed asset reports for management and stakeholders.
 
Support budgeting and forecasting activities related to fixed assets and capital expenditures.
  Partner with cross-functional departments to plan and budget capital projects.
 
Coordinate with IT and administrative teams to ensure proper asset tagging and tracking.
  Support internal and external audit requests related to fixed assets.
 
Investigate and resolve discrepancies involving asset records and transactions.
  Identify and implement process improvements within the fixed asset management function.
 
Ensure timely and accurate recording of asset capitalization, depreciation, and disposals.
  Administer lease accounting activities and maintain leased asset records.
 
Maintain documentation supporting fixed asset policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
 

Qualifications / What you bring (Must Haves):
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
3+ years of accounting experience.
1+ year of fixed asset accounting experience.
Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with asset acquisitions, capitalization, depreciation, transfers, and disposals.
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
 
Added bonus if you have (Preferred):
Understanding of the automotive industry.
Experience with SAP ERP.
CPA certification or public accounting experience.
Lease accounting experience, including ASC 842.
Experience supporting capital expenditure planning and forecasting.
