A single family office in Dallas seeks an experienced Family Office Senior Accountant to join a small, high-performing team. A hands-on, versatile role requiring strong technical knowledge of multi-entity operations, family office structures, private aviation and payroll accounting, owning month-end/quarter-end close, consolidated reporting and GAAP compliance.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our small, high-performing, high-energy team. This hands-on position targets versatile, detail-oriented accounting professionals comfortable in environments where staff members assume multiple responsibilities. The role requires strong technical knowledge of multi-entity operations, family office structures, private aviation, and specialised accounting areas including payroll.

Key responsibilities
  • Oversee complete month-end and quarter-end closing procedures, including journal entries, reconciliations, and multi-entity financial statement consolidation.
  • Generate timely and accurate financial reports, consolidated statements, management reports, and board presentations.
  • Manage payroll accounting functions: processing, liability reconciliations, benefits administration, and period-end entries while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting efforts, including annual budget preparation, periodic forecasts, and performance analysis.
  • Handle multi-entity accounting and family office reporting, including intercompany transactions, eliminations, and specialised private aviation accounting.
  • Maintain GAAP compliance, internal controls, and company policy adherence.
Qualifications and experience
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline; CPA or CMA preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years progressive accounting experience; 2-3 years in a Senior Accountant capacity or equivalent.
  • Strong multi-entity and family office accounting background.
  • Demonstrated payroll accounting expertise and complex regulatory compliance knowledge.
  • Hands-on month-end/quarter-end close, financial reporting, audit, and tax filing experience.
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis proficiency.
  • Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks or similar) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, multitasking ability.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Private aviation accounting experience preferred.
  • Comfort working in small-team settings requiring flexibility and versatility.
