Quanex is looking for aFixed Asset Manager, Global in Houston, TX.

The Fixed Asset Manager will be responsible for overseeing the company’s global fixed asset and leases portfolio, ensuring proper accounting, reporting and compliance with corporate policies and accounting standards. This role involves managing the lease evaluation and renewals process and the full lifecycle of fixed assets from planning to acquisition to disposal, optimizing asset utilization, and supporting capital expenditure forecasting across multiple, global locations. The Fixed Asset Manager is a key member of the finance team.

  • Optimize asset utilization and lifecycle management, ensuring the company gets maximum value from its investments.
  • Continuously improve systems and processes, leveraging technology and automation to make asset and lease management more efficient.
  • Operate with accuracy, timeliness, and professionalism, especially in a high-volume, global environment with competing priorities.
What You Bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in fixed asset management or 10 years of experience in accounting field overseeing fixed asset management functions.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, fixed asset accounting, and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and fixed asset/lease management software.

The salary range for this position is $120,000 -$148,000 with the potential to earn an annual bonus.
