Job Summary:
Broadridge is a company that empowers others to accomplish more, and they are seeking a FIX Onboarding Engineer to support the onboarding and certification of external clients onto their electronic trading platforms. The role involves managing complex onboarding projects, providing FIX protocol expertise, and ensuring a seamless client experience through collaboration with various internal teams.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the end-to-end onboarding process of electronic trading applications for external clients to the firm's trading systems, from initial request to production go-live.
• Coordinate new projects, driving deliverable dependencies across multiple internal teams including business, operations, and various platform developers (e.g., algorithmic trading, workflow, networks).
• Maintain close communication with business and Operations teams to understand requirements and implement effective business solutions.
• Test and certify new client connections via FIX protocol, ensuring compliance with industry standards and firm-specific requirements.
• Implement and improve customized client requests, enhancing the flexibility and functionality of our electronic trading offerings.
• Facilitate network connectivity requests, including configurations related to TCP/IP, Firewalls, and VPNs.
• Provide subject matter expertise on all FIX-related inquiries to relevant business and application teams, acting as a key technical liaison.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during the onboarding process and provide ongoing support.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for client onboarding projects and processes.
• Contribute to the continuous enhancement and streamlining of onboarding processes, applications, and tooling.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems/Technology, or a related technical field.
• 2-4 years of professional experience, with the level (Analyst or Associate) commensurate with experience and demonstrated capabilities.
• Strong understanding of financial markets and the complete electronic order lifecycle, including order types, execution venues, and post-trade processes (clearing and settlement).
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen attention to detail. Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and build strong relationships with clients.
• Experience with scripting and/or Programming (e.g., Python, Java, C++, SQL).
• Comfortable operating in a UNIX/Linux environment, with good knowledge of common commands and tools.
• Understanding of connectivity, networks, and related concepts such as TCP/IP, Firewalls, and VPN.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
Preferred:
• Demonstrated experience with the FIX (Financial Information eXchange) protocol and FIX certification processes.
• Finance background with a solid understanding of multiple asset classes (e.g., Equities, Futures, Options, FX).
• Experience in technical project management or leading technical initiatives.
• Prior experience in a client-facing technical role within financial services.
