Job description

Allisonville Nursery, an upscale home boutique and garden center in Fishers, is searching for Nursery Sales Associates for our garden center. We will be interviewing and hiring applicants beginning in February.
Duties:
  • Selling trees, shrubs, and other plants
  • Selling containers, soil, chemicals, and other accessories
  • Assisting guests as they plan their gardens
  • Accurately and efficiently writing tickets for guests' purchases
  • Loading purchases into guests' cars

Qualifications:
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Gardening experience
  • Knowledge of trees, shrubs, and chemicals/fertilizers
  • Friendly and excited to share information
  • Good design sense
  • Hard working, enthusiastic, and organized

Work Environment:
  • Working outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and rain
  • Working primarily on an asphalt surface under shade cloths
  • Fast paced and dirty environment

Job Information:
Classification: Part time, hours fluctuate seasonally
Schedule: May be scheduled all hours. Weekdays, and weekends are often required. Minimal time off will be granted throughout our busy season of late April, all of May, and early June.
Regularity: Seasonal position. Nursery Sales Associates can expect to work from Spring to Fall & Holiday based on weather and employee performance
