Basic Requirements:
  • High school Diploma or GED
  • At least 18 years old
  • Florida driver's license and insurance coverage
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
  • Team oriented
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Animal care experience (domestic or exotic) preferred
  • Commercial food preparation experience welcomed

Job Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of diets for animal collection
  • Processing fruits and vegetables
  • Handling meat, fish, invertebrates and other food items
  • Washing and sanitizing containers, surfaces and equipment
  • Ability to safely use kitchen utensils and appliances
  • Ability to determine measurements of weight and volume
  • Keep storage, refrigerator and freezer areas clean and orderly
  • Assist with physical inventory and ordering
  • Moderate to heavy lifting of supplies and equipment
  • 250- gallon Coral Reef Tank maintenance to include feeding, cleaning, water quality, and systems maintenance
  • Browse garden maintenance and harvesting
  • Worm farm maintenance
  • The Nutrition Center hours are from 6 am until 2:30 pm, 7 days per week. The selected applicant will be scheduled during these hours of operation.
