We provide a one-stop solution that offers new product development or precise replication of existing recipes as well as product manufacturing and packaging. Our custom product lines include poultry, meat and fish specialties, pastas, soups, sauces, certified organic and vegetarian offerings. These can be prepared as entrées, plated meals or bulk-packed meal components.

CLASSIFICATION: Packing Associate
EFFECTIVE DATE: 10/10/23
REPORTS TO: Production Supervisor
DEPARTMENT: Production
EXEMPT/NON-EXEMPT: Non-Exempt
SUMMARY:
Packages food products in accordance with company specifications to prepare for shipping. May be assigned to a variety of tasks including but not limited to: guiding small food trays into slots on packaging machine, manually packing product in bags, unloading and feeding product into a wrap and seal machine, assembling shipping boxes and filling with packaged food, counting correct number of product to pack in box, pushing boxes through taping machine, and placing labels on boxes or containers. Position will be required to rotate with other positions within the line. May be assigned to Heavy positions where duties include: May be assigned to the end of the line where the boxed product is stacked on pallets, shrink wrapped, and transported using a pallet jack to designated area. Workers may be rotated to any of the production assembly lines as required by production needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
  • Packaging of product and box assembly is performed using repetitive fingers, hand and wrist motion of both hands. Heavy positions push items requiring in excess of 50 pounds exertional force.
  • Fast paced line work
  • Ensure that production meets quality standards.
  • Check product code matches.
  • Pack finished product into master boxes.
  • Able to use hand pallet jack (HL)
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Warm Room temperature Environment
  • Package and seal food products according to company specifications.
  • Assemble boxes, count products and fill box according to company specifications.
  • Move, stack or relocate product as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS & POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be able to consistently perform functions that require heavy lifting, up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work in a hot and cold environment (depending on assigned department)
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and use hands the majority of the shift.
  • Must be a team player.
