Job description

Raw Seafoods is looking for dependable and hardworking team members to join our DSD department. This is a physically active role in a refrigerated seafood production environment. The ideal candidate is reliable, comfortable working with fish, and able to perform heavy lifting and repetitive movement throughout the shift.

This position is a good fit for someone who does not mind hands-on work, cold temperatures, and being on their feet all day.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will help support the DSD team by:

  • Moving totes and containers of fish by hand throughout the work area
  • Lifting and moving totes of fish weighing up to 100 lbs., with help for heavier items
  • Assisting with lifting and handling large fish weighing up to 150 lbs. or more
  • Washing fish regularly as part of the production process
  • Moving containers of fish from table to table
  • Disposing of trash in the compactor as needed
  • Keeping the work area clean, organized, and safe
  • Following company safety, food safety, and GMP procedures
  • Supporting the team with other production duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is dependable and willing to work hard
  • Can perform physically demanding work throughout the shift
  • Can lift, move, push, and pull heavy items with assistance when needed
  • Is comfortable working with raw seafood
  • Can work in a refrigerated room between 36 and 40 degrees throughout the day
  • Can stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift for long periods of time
  • Can follow directions and work safely as part of a team
  • Has a positive attitude and shows up ready to work

Work Environment

This role is performed in a cold, wet seafood production environment. Employees must be comfortable working around raw fish and working in refrigerated temperatures for the full shift.
