Job Title
Senior Business Analyst
About your role:
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will support the delivery of card and core banking capabilities by translating complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements. You will work across product, engineering, delivery, and business teams to define solutions that support debit card, credit card, payment processing, and account servicing workflows. Your work will help ensure solutions are scalable, integrated, and aligned to business and operational requirements.
What you'll do:
  • Elicit, analyze, and document business, functional, and integration requirements for debit card, credit card, core banking, and payment processing capabilities
  • Translate complex business processes into user stories, use cases, process flows, data mappings, business rules, and acceptance criteria
  • Analyze card transaction lifecycles including account setup, card issuance, authorization, memo posting, clearing, settlement, reversals, adjustments, disputes, chargebacks, representments, and exception handling
  • Define and support integrations across core banking platforms, card processors, payment networks, digital channels, fraud systems, servicing platforms, and third-party providers using application programming interfaces (APIs), events, files, and message-based interfaces
  • Apply working knowledge of payment and card standards including ISO 8583, ISO 20022, REST APIs, batch files, and processor or network message specifications to support solution definition and delivery
  • Use tools such as Postman, API documentation, logs, data extracts, and test simulators to validate integration behavior and confirm alignment to documented requirements
  • Facilitate workshops and working sessions with cross-functional teams to support shared understanding, decision-making, backlog refinement, solution design, certification, and post-production support
  • Identify process gaps, document downstream impacts, and maintain business analysis artifacts across card processing and core banking workflows
  • Responsibilities listed are not intended to be all-inclusive and may be modified as necessary.

Experience you'll need to have:
  • 6+ years of experience in business analysis within financial services, payments, card issuing, card processing, core banking, or a related domain
  • 6+ years of experience documenting business, functional, and integration requirements using user stories, use cases, process flows, data mappings, business rules, and acceptance criteria
  • 6+ years of experience supporting debit card and credit card processing functions including authorization, clearing, settlement, disputes, chargebacks, reversals, adjustments, and cardholder servicing
  • 6+ years of experience working with core banking concepts, account processing, and system integrations across payment and servicing platforms
  • Experience with ISO 8583, ISO 20022, REST APIs, API-first integration patterns, file-based exchanges, event-driven integrations, and message-based interfaces
  • Experience using Postman or similar tools to review, test, and validate APIs and integration scenarios
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience

Experience that would be great to have:
  • Experience with payment network integration and processor or network certification processes
  • Experience with fraud systems, PCI DSS, card network rules, regulatory compliance, audit requirements, and operational risk management
  • Experience supporting digital banking channels and card lifecycle management
  • Experience working in software delivery environments across the full software development lifecycle

How you'll work:
