Traditional Labor Associate Attorney (Private Sector) (3-7 Year)

Seeking associates with experience or a demonstrated interest in representing private-sector employers in traditional labor matters, including practice before the National Labor Relations Board, contract grievances, labor negotiations, and strategic advice and counsel.

Specific skills and experience sought are:

  • Experience representing employers in matters before the NLRB, including representational matters and in defense of unfair labor practice charges.
  • Labor arbitration
  • Labor-related litigation, including in federal court
  • Collective bargaining
  • Grievance handling and labor contract administration
  • Prevailing wage litigation and compliance under California and federal law
  • Construction labor law
  • Experience in general labor and employment practice under California law, including FEHA, wage-and-hour, is helpful
  • Superior research and writing skills, including labor arbitration briefs and filings before the NLRB
  • Strong academic background and top-tier law firm experience preferred
