Job description

Kelly Services in partnership with Cummins has immediate openings for Forklift/Warehouse Associates to join our team at Cummins Distribution Center in Portland - 6511 NE Mt St Helens Ave Portland OR 97220. Cummins is a global power and auto component manufacturer and we have a full-time, temp to hire position on 1st shift Monday-Friday open and available! Due to the nature of the role and requirements, this position requires some Forklift operating experience to be placed.
Positions start at over $20 an hour! 
  • 1st shift: 6:30am - 3pm (M-F) - $20.75 / hr
1st shift may also be on a 10am-6:30pm shift  depending on business needs when starting (all hires must be flexible for either shift)

What is a typical day as a Warehouse Associate? You’ll be:

  • Driving forklift and other PIV's (order picker/cherry picker, reach forklift, standup forklift)
  • Receiving, stocking, storing, handling and labeling goods and materials in a warehouse environment.
  • Inspecting merchandise, checking for shortages, damaged goods and discrepancies.
  • Handling goods and materials carefully and safely
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement including ways to optimize warehouse space

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Requires Forklift operating experience (do not need to be certified)
  • Are at least 18 years of age
  • Are comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, standing, walking, and kneeling in a production/warehouse environment 
  • Steel-toed shoes/boots are required to start
