Embracing Abilities is a family-owned and operated Indiana Medicaid Waiver and First Steps Agency dedicated to supporting children and families through compassionate, individualized services. Position Overview

The First Steps Physical Therapist (PT) provides early intervention physical therapy services to infants and toddlers (birth to 3 years) and their families in natural environments. This is a contract position offering flexibility to build your own caseload and schedule while delivering family-centered, evidence-based therapy services.



Part-Time, Contract Position - Flexible scheduling with the ability to determine your caseload and availability

Salary: $91.00 - $112.00 per hour


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide physical therapy services in natural environments (home and community settings)
  • Conduct PT evaluations and ongoing developmental assessments
  • Collaborate with families, service coordinators, and interdisciplinary team members
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and family-centered interventions
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with First Steps and state requirements
  • Coach caregivers on strategies to support gross motor development, mobility, posture, and functional movement
  • Monitor progress and modify interventions as needed

Requirements:Required Qualifications

Applicants must meet all Indiana First Steps physical therapy hiring and credentialing requirements, including:

  • Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of Indiana
  • Eligible for First Steps credentialing and enrollment
  • Experience working with infants, toddlers, and families preferred
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client homes
  • Ability to pass background checks, TB testing, and other required screenings
  • Must meet Indiana First Steps qualifications
  • Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills

Part-Time Position

Salary: $91.00 - $112.00 per hour
