Toddler Teacher – The Learning Experience

Position Summary
The Toddler Teacher at The Learning Experience is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for children ages 1–2 years old. The Toddler Teacher implements The Learning Experience curriculum, supports each child’s developmental growth, and builds positive relationships with families and team members.
Key Responsibilities

  • Create a warm, welcoming, and safe classroom environment.
  • Implement The Learning Experience curriculum and daily lesson plans.
  • Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development.
  • Maintain active supervision of children at all times.
  • Foster positive behavior through encouragement, redirection, and age-appropriate guidance.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child’s daily activities and developmental progress.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary classroom according to state licensing and center policies.
  • Assist with diapering, toileting, feeding, and other routine care needs.
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with co-teachers and center leadership to ensure a high-quality learning experience for every child.
Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare setting preferred.
  • CDA, Early Childhood Education coursework, or related certification preferred.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and actively engage with young children throughout the day.
  • Must meet all state licensing requirements, including background checks and required trainings.
