Job Summary
We are looking for an energetic Toddler Teaching Assistant to join our team, beginning in August 2026. As a Teaching Assistant, you will assist the classroom teacher in out toddler room, with children ranging in age from 18 months through 3 years old assisting with classroom duties and instruction. Your goal is to create a welcoming learning environment and provide students with the tools they need to reach their full potential. The ideal candidate is compassionate, fun, loving, creative, and has a passion for teaching!

Work Schedule:
  • Monday through Friday
  • 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m.
  • Follows Canandaigua City School Calendar - closed holidays and school vacation weeks.

Responsibilities:ย 
  • Assist students individually and in small groups
  • Maintain direct competent supervision at all times
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records
  • Communicate with parents and school personnel as requested by the head teacher
Qualifications:ย 
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous experience as a teaching assistant is preferred
  • Understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management
  • Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skillsย 
  • Energetic and positive attitude
  • Ability to pass a background check
Compensation: $18.00 per hour
