Main duties

QUALITY MANAGER

Reports to: Technical Manager

EXEMPLARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Maintain the Quality System and the Quality System Documentation.   

Mersen Quality planning activities.                                                        

Responsible for establishing, monitoring of product non-conformance review and dispositioning of system.

Communication of importance to meet customer requirements with the Mersen staff.       

Actively engage and promote Quality with employees & Staff.

Provide CONC, RMA, Scrap Analysis, and On-time reports to management as required.

Perform - Process Analysis and Continuous Improvement Projects

Perform Statistics, Graphical representations and interpretations.

Perform RMA Evaluations with reports.                                                                              

Provide support for Production

Help identify Work Order corrections.

Assist in Purchase Order requirements for Critical Suppliers.

Maintain NPR documentation and follow-up

Verify NPR's are correct, detailed and closed in a timely manner.                                                      

Review costing as measure of scrap and productivity.                                                     

Equipment / Process Evaluation

Improvement recommendations and reporting of deficiencies.

Ensures QA staffing supports production and inspection needs.                                            

Direct/oversee 1st article documentation and adherence-ensure supporting documentation is provided, including  Material Test Results, Elemental Analysis Data, Dimensional Report, Process Confirmation and Ballooned Drawings.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Thorough understanding of the ISO 9000:2015 / AS9100 Quality Business Systems.
  • Suggested associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; combination of education and work experience.
  • Good understanding of normal PC software.
  • Experience in gage metrology and calibration.
  • Good print interpretation skills including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • Trained internal auditor.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Good management and team building skills.
