About Us

We are a fast-growing technology company in the renewable energy sector, helping the worldโ€™s largest wind and solar energy players optimize performance and extend the life of their assets. Our solutions combine inspections, data analytics, and SaaS products to give customers actionable insights that drive safety, reliability, and profitability.

Overview

We are expanding into the solar market to act as our in-house subject-matter expert on solar inspections/SaaS, workflows, and customer needs. In this role, youโ€™ll sit at the intersection of Sales, Solutions, Product, Operations, and Customer Successโ€”helping us deeply understand solar customers, design better solutions, and deliver a consistent, high-quality experience from first discovery through implementation and ongoing service.

As a Solar Solutions Design Manager you will:Customer Discovery, Solution Design & Sales Support
  • Join solar discovery, qualification, and solution-design calls as a subject-matter expert.
  • Ask the right questions to uncover technical, operational, and commercial needs.
  • Help shape solution proposals, scopes of work, and implementation plans that align with real-world solar inspection and asset-management workflows.
  • Develop and support customer pricing models, ensuring solution proposals align with customer value and internal operational requirements.
  • Provide technical solar support and expertise to Sales and Solutions teams.
  • Take ownership of solutioning and developing preventative maintenance programs tailored to specific customer needs.
  • Lead technical product demos for prospective customers, highlighting key capabilities and value propositions.
Onboarding, Implementation & Service Delivery
  • Alongside Customer Success, support customer onboarding and implementation, ensuring a smooth handoff from sales to customer success and delivery.
  • Advise on best practices for inspection workflows and programs, data handover, reporting, and ongoing operations for new and existing solar customers.
  • Partner with Customer Success, Inspection Operations, and Delivery teams to troubleshoot issues, refine workflows, and ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of our delivery playbooks and standard operating procedures for solar customers.
  • Lead data hand-off calls to communicate inspection results, insights, and actionable findings to customers
Translate Customer Needs into Product & Operations Requirements
  • Convert customer problems and use cases into clear product requirements and operational processes.
  • Identify gaps in our current offering (features, integrations, workflows, delivery capabilities) and propose pragmatic improvements.
  • Partner with Product and Operations to validate assumptions, prioritize enhancements, and refine solution designs and delivery models.
Build Frameworks, Playbooks, and Reusable Assets
  • Assist in developing solar discovery frameworks (questions, red flags, qualification criteria, and templates).
  • Create a customer use-case library that captures common workflows, pain points, and solution patterns.
  • Document implementation and inspection workflows, including roles, data flows, timelines, and dependenciesโ€”both for our internal teams and customers.
  • Produce sales and delivery enablement materials such as positioning guides, talk tracks, competitive battlecards, objection handling, implementation checklists, and example project plans.
  • Support training for customer-facing teams (Sales, Delivery, CS, Operations) so they can confidently position, onboard, and support solar solutions.
Requirements of the job
  • Deep technical understanding of utility-scale solar, including solar asset management and field operations. Bonus points for also being familiar with utility-scale wind.
  • Experience working directly with solar customers (e.g., developers, IPPs, asset owners, O&M providers), ideally including solution / software sales or customer-facing technical roles.
  • Hands-on exposure to onboarding, implementation, or service delivery for solar technology, data, or software solutions.
  • Strong ability to translate customer workflows into structured requirements and delivery processes for Product, Operations, and Customer Success.
  • Comfortable joining customer calls, leading discovery, guiding onboarding, and contributing as a credible subject-matter expert.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to produce clear frameworks, documentation, and training materials.
  • Self-starter who can operate independently, prioritize impact, and collaborate effectively across Sales, Solutions, Product, Operations, and Customer Success.
