DEPARTMENT: Shipping
JOB TITLE: 1st Shift Material Handler/Loader/Stock
REPORTS TO: Shift Facilitator
SHIFT DAYS /HOURS: 8 hr. shifts (Mon-Friday) 7:00 am- 3:00 pm) Must be willing and able to work Mandatory OT on off days as necessary.
What You Will Be Responsible For:
  • Properly load trucks with the equipment provided.
    • Load trucks in an efficient manner keeping in mind location of delivers and drivers route.
    • Document everything that is put on truck on load sheet.
  • Unload trucks, check, verify, ticket, and take material to the appropriate department.
  • Use both Stock and Open order reports.
    • Put away and Pull stock inventory.
    • Locate and Pull stock in EPICS.
  • Check (measure /Webster) when required material going to anodize.
  • Band and ticket material going to outside vendors.
  • Stack, stage, band on skids material waiting for shipment.
  • Do all other receiving functions:
  • Receive all incoming raw material and other supplies.
  • Set up Packers with material & take packed material to shipping.
  • Able to understand material handling techniques to package parts off CNC as necessary
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement activities
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Assist other personnel and perform other duties as required per supervisor.
  • Inform the Supervisor of any equipment problems or any other problems.
  • Work in a safe manner always wearing all required Proper Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain a clean, clutter-free workstation.
  • Able to participate in a collaborative environment.
  • Comply with safety policies and procedures.
  • Accepts feedback from the Team Leader to ensure the bundles meet safety standards.
  • Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.

Work Environment / Physical Demands:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and always without air conditioning.

What You Will Need:
  • Preferred Experience operating an overhead crane.
  • Preferred experience with forklifts and Combi-lift.
  • HS Diploma/GED
  • Must also pass a skills-based test.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work efficiently and effectively; self-motivated; self-starter.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Must be conscientious, diplomatic, and detail oriented.
  • Must pass a company background check and drug screen.
