EXPECTED PAY: ~ $22-$26/HOUR (THIS NUMBER IS INCLUSIVE OF TIPS)! Day time/weekday availability is a MUST.


ROOTS OCEAN PRIME, located in Darien, is part of Harvest Restaurants. As the Director of First Impressions, you'll be the face of our restaurant, ensuring every guest receives a warm and welcoming experience. We're looking for someone with a contagious smile, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to orchestrate a seamless and delightful dining experience!



Responsibilities of Host:

  • Greets all guests with genuine enthusiasm and warmth upon arrival.
  • Informs guests of their estimated wait time.
  • Accurately enters guest names and information into the Resy system.
  • Escorts guests to their assigned tables.
  • Presents menus and provides initial table introductions.
  • Bids guests farewell as they leave, expressing appreciation for their patronage.
  • Addresses guest questions and concerns.
  • Performs light housekeeping duties, such as cleaning glassware and menus.
  • Ensures the cleanliness, stocking, and orderliness of restrooms.
  • Acts as the first and last point of contact for guests, creating a positive and lasting impression.
  • Communicates effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management.

Requirements

Previous experience in a full-service restaurant preferred but not mandatory.


Must be upbeat, outgoing and positive. Happy and Nice!


Must be able to assist guests and possess great guest relations skills.


Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment.


Ability to stand/walk and stay focused and alert for extended periods of time , 6-8 hours per shift


Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.


Ability to work effectively within a team.


Ability to effectively communicate on the telephone.


Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
