First Responder Remote information

What is a First Responder Remote?

A First Responder Remote is a professional who provides emergency response services from a remote location, often using technology to assist individuals in crisis situations. These responders may offer support via phone, video calls, or specialized communication platforms, helping to assess emergencies, guide on-scene individuals, and coordinate with local emergency services. This role is crucial in situations where immediate physical presence isn't possible, but critical support and guidance are still needed. Remote first responders are commonly found in telehealth, mental health crisis lines, and remote medical triage services.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a First Responder Remote?

To thrive as a First Responder Remote, you need strong emergency response skills, situational assessment abilities, and relevant certifications such as EMT, paramedic, or telemedicine training. Familiarity with emergency communication platforms, GPS/location systems, and incident management software is typically required. Outstanding decision-making, calm under pressure, and effective remote communication are vital soft skills for this role. These competencies enable rapid, accurate assistance and coordination during critical incidents, ensuring public safety and effective outcomes from afar.

What are some unique challenges of working as a remote First Responder, and how can they be managed effectively?

Working as a remote First Responder presents unique challenges such as limited access to physical resources, potential delays in information relay, and the need for strong virtual communication skills. It is essential to stay proficient with technology platforms, maintain clear and prompt communication with on-site teams, and remain updated on protocols for remote incident assessment and triage. Building strong relationships with local colleagues and participating in regular remote training sessions can help overcome these challenges and ensure effective response in critical situations.

What is the difference between First Responder Remote vs Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)?

AspectFirst Responder RemoteEmergency Medical Technician (EMT)
CertificationsBasic First Aid, CPR, Emergency ResponseEMT-Basic, CPR, AED, Advanced First Aid
Work EnvironmentRemote, telecommunication-based, on-callOn-site at emergency scenes, ambulances, hospitals
Industry UsageEmergency response coordination, remote supportPre-hospital emergency care, patient transport

First Responder Remote roles focus on providing emergency support and coordination remotely, often requiring CPR and basic first aid certifications. EMTs are on-the-ground emergency medical providers with additional certifications, directly attending to patients at the scene. While both roles are vital in emergency services, they differ mainly in work environment and scope of practice.

Job description

REMOTE SALES REPRESENTATIVE
Choate Agency | Symmetry Financial Group | Remote | U.S. Residents Only
Most sales jobs cap what you can earn and call it a career path.
This one doesn't. Your income is tied directly to your production and your willingness to develop as a leader - nothing else.
We're looking for people motivated by two things at once: genuinely helping families protect what they've built, and building a multiple six-figure income doing it.
COMPENSATION
Part-Time (25-30 hrs/week): $30,000-$60,000+
Full-Time (30-35 hrs/week): $80,000-$180,000+
Partner Track: $200,000-$500,000+
• 100% performance-based - no cap, no ceiling
• Weekly pay and commission advances
• Residual renewal income that compounds year over year
• Performance bonuses and paid travel incentives
• Health, dental, and vision benefits - available part-time and full-time
See the full earnings disclosure at the bottom of this posting.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The Choate Agency, part of Symmetry Financial Group, helps families protect their homes and financial futures through mortgage protection, life insurance, retirement solutions, college savings strategies, and debt elimination programs.
SFG was ranked #9 on Forbes' list of 25 companies hiring the most high-paying jobs and named Insurtech of the Year in 2024.
Every lead you work is warm, inbound, and exclusive. These are families who requested information. You are not cold calling, not door knocking, and not selling to your personal network.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Respond to inbound client inquiries from our exclusive lead platform
• Conduct phone and virtual appointments with families
• Recommend appropriate protection solutions and guide clients through application
• Follow our proven sales and leadership development system
• Track your pipeline and activity in our CRM
• Advance into leadership and build your own team as you grow
WHAT WE PROVIDE
• Warm, exclusive, inbound leads - no prospecting required
• Extensive onboarding and ongoing training
• One-on-one mentorship from producers actively writing business
• Multiple top-rated carriers - right product for the client, every time
• Award-winning CRM and technology platform
• A defined leadership and partner track with override income
• Paid travel incentives and company trips
• 100% remote - work from anywhere in the U.S.
WHAT YOU NEED
• Strong work ethic and a genuine growth mindset
• Coachability - willingness to follow a proven system before improving on it
• Reliable internet, smartphone, and computer or tablet
• Life & Health license - can be obtained after hire (we contribute $100 toward the course)
• Current U.S. residency and work authorization - no visa sponsorship available
• Must be 18+ and able to pass a background check
No prior insurance experience required. We train the right mindset.
LICENSING
A Life & Health license is required to sell - but not to apply. We contribute $100 toward your pre-licensing course and guide you through the process. Most people complete it in 2-4 weeks while still working their current job.
Already licensed? You could be contracted and writing business within days.
WHO THRIVES HERE
We hire for character and drive, not industry background. Strong fits typically come from:
→ Commission sales - real estate, solar, mortgage, auto, B2B
→ Military, athletics, coaching, or ministry backgrounds
→ Corporate professionals who've hit an income ceiling
→ Teachers, first responders, nurses, and service-oriented professionals
→ Anyone self-directed, coachable, and genuinely good with people
THE HONEST PART
This is a performance-based role. There's no base salary and no guaranteed income - which is precisely what makes the upside real.
Agents who follow the system and work consistently reach the numbers above. Agents who work in bursts don't. We provide the leads, the training, the mentorship, and the technology. The consistency has to come from you.
APPLY
No cover letter required. Submit your resume and answer two questions:
1. What's your income goal for the next 12 months - and what's currently standing between you and that number?
2. What's something you've been genuinely good at, and what did it take to get there?
Qualified applicants are contacted within 48 hours for a 20-minute conversation.
