Armed Flex Security Responder-Full Time

Pay Rate: $23.70/hour

Role: Security Engineers is seeking an Armed Security Responder to help safeguard people and property through armed patrols, access control, surveillance monitoring, emergency response, and professional customer service. This position requires sound judgment, accurate reporting, compliance with all licensing and legal requirements, and the ability to perform armed security duties in Alabama and Georgia.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have or be able to obtain and maintain all required State Security Licenses.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must complete armed training and maintain required firearms permits and certifications, including pistol permit requirements.
  • Valid driver’s license and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets company-approved driver standards.
  • Must be able to travel regularly between Alabama and Georgia and comply with applicable laws.
  • Must be available to work all shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Schedules will vary based on operational needs.
  • Prior military, law enforcement, first responder, or armed security experience preferred. Retirees welcome.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform walking and vehicle patrols to identify and report safety or security concerns.
  • Monitor access points, verify IDs and credentials, and enforce Security Post Instructions.
  • Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents according to protocol.
  • Complete accurate logs, reports, and routine security tasks such as locking/unlocking doors, managing security systems, and monitoring surveillance.
  • Assist visitors and employees professionally while enforcing SEI and client policies.
  • Maintain a clean, pressed uniform and professional appearance.

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to work in fast-paced, high-stress environments.
  • Availability to work weekends as needed.
  • Strong situational awareness, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and de-escalate situations during critical incidents.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use tablets or reporting systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of access control systems.
  • Conflict resolution, de-escalation, active shooter response, FEMA ICS/NIMS, HAZMAT, or related specialized training.
