Position Summary

Christy Sports is seeking a Help Desk Technician to provide technical support to employees throughout the Intermountain West. As a member of the Technical Services team, you will respond to employee requests through our enterprise ticketing system while delivering technical support through phone, email, and remote support tools.

This role requires a foundational understanding of information technology, including workstation deployment and support, Microsoft 365 administration, network troubleshooting, and enterprise application support. Success in this position requires strong technical aptitude, sound judgment, excellent customer service, and the ability to independently prioritize work, manage multiple responsibilities, and deliver reliable solutions in a fast-paced retail environment.

The Help Desk Technician is expected to take ownership of assigned work, collaborate effectively with technical and business partners, contribute to process and documentation improvements, and continuously expand technical knowledge to support the evolving needs of the organization. This role provides opportunities to develop skills in systems administration, Microsoft cloud technologies, networking, cybersecurity, and enterprise application support while making meaningful contributions to the success of the Information Technology team.

This position supports a retail organization operating across multiple states and requires occasional after-hours support and flexibility during peak business periods.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Monitor Technical Services support queues, including voicemail, email, and the enterprise ticketing system, to deliver timely support to end users.
  2. Prioritize and manage support requests based on business impact and established service level expectations while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
  3. Triage issues reported by end users utilizing standard operating procedures, knowledge base articles, and established troubleshooting processes.
  4. Assess the type and severity of incidents, resolve issues independently whenever possible, and escalate complex issues to senior technicians, systems administrators, vendors, or application owners as appropriate.
  5. Provide entry-level support for Microsoft Windows workstations, Microsoft 365 applications and services, wired and wireless network connectivity, VPN connectivity, and enterprise business applications.
  6. Document all work performed within the enterprise ticketing system, maintain accurate technical documentation, and contribute to knowledge base articles and standard operating procedures.
  7. Configure and deploy new hardware including desktop and laptop computers, monitors, USB docking stations, wireless access points, network switches, printers, and peripherals.
  8. Perform light infrastructure installation work, including cable installations, wireless access point deployments, television mounting, printer deployments, and general technology setup projects.
  9. Perform entry-level Windows administration tasks as assigned.
  10. Identify opportunities to improve support processes, documentation, and the end-user experience, recommending practical solutions that increase efficiency and service quality.
  11. Support user onboarding, offboarding, and workstation lifecycle management activities.
  12. Participate in the Technical Services on-call rotation, providing after-hours support for critical business systems, retail locations, and end-user issues as required.
  13. Demonstrate professionalism, ownership, accountability, initiative, and a commitment to continuous learning while contributing to team goals and delivering high-quality technical support.

  • Experience providing remote support is preferred

Education & Experience

  • Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, and/or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience providing technical support directly to end users
  • Minimum of one (1) year of Microsoft Windows administration experience
  • Minimum of one (1) year of Microsoft 365 administration experience
  • Minimum of one (1) year of entry-level network administration experience

Preferred Certifications

  • CompTIA A+
  • CompTIA Network+
  • Cisco CCENT or equivalent

Work Schedule & On-Call Expectations

  • This position is primarily an in-person role located in Lakewood, Colorado.
  • Opportunities to work remotely may be considered following a successful 90-day performance review.
  • Participation in a rotating on-call support schedule is required.
  • On-call responsibilities may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency response situations.
  • Employees assigned to on-call duty must be able to respond to critical business-impacting incidents within established service-level expectations.
