Job description

Position Title: Branch Manager Location: Lutz Office

Department: Retail Operations FLSA: Exempt

Supervises: Branch Personnel Status: Fulltime/Salary

Reports To: EVP – Chief Operations Officer

Summary:

This position is responsible for administering operations of the branch office.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provides personnel management for branch staff.
  • Manage overall branch office operations.
  • Coaches and leads by example to promote sales efforts of branch employees.
  • Responsible for maintaining office building, grounds, equipments and fixtures.
  • Occasionally takes and processes consumer loan applications and closes loans.
  • Performs Customer Service Representative (CSR) and Teller functions.
  • Prepares reports for management as required.
  • Sells financial institution products and services.
  • Follows up by phone and/or written correspondence after the initial sales encounter.
  • Establishes and helps to attain internal performance objectives for branch office business volume, deposits, loan portfolios and quality of audit reports.
  • Reviews staff members for formal performance evaluations and recommends salary adjustments. Counsels employees when needed. Coordinates staff training when needed.
  • Tests branch security equipment and investigates security issues when needed.
  • Willingness to attend schools, seminars and meetings to keep abreast of laws, regulations and services, as needed.
  • External calling efforts, selling Bank products and services in Pasco County or nearby locales. Internal sales when in the Branch.
  • Joint calls with Commercial Lenders, Executive Management and Supervisor.
  • Provides supervisor with external prospect call plan, with emphasis on local businesses.
  • Follows up by phone or written correspondence after the initial sales encounter.
  • Represents the Bank in public relations activities and community affairs.
  • Be directly involved in community organizations or groups, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Refers investment opportunities to Bank’s investment partner.
  • Refers mortgage loan requests to residential lending department.
  • Develops marketing plan to ensure goal attainment.
  • Prepare and maintain external calling reports monthly.
  • Weekly call with supervisor to update on external calling efforts.
  • Provide and maintain professional business atmosphere. Promote a professional, positive and proper image of the Bank to the public and to the employees.
  • Maintain good working relationship with support departments and management.
  • Adopt First National Bank of Pasco’s philosophies and adhere to Bank policies and procedures.
  • Promote growth by providing qualified referrals to other Bank staff.
  • Perform other duties as needed or assigned by management.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Three to five years previous experience as a customer service representative to gain the knowledge of various transactions necessary in order to assist branch staff. Extensive background in financial institution operating policies and procedures, banking regulations (state and federal), employee developments, and public relations. Knowledge of basic lending policies and procedures. Ability to supervise, monitor and evaluate the work of others.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Internet software; and Word Processing software, Sales Pro/Laser Pro.

BANK SECRECY ACT:

In the performance of respective tasks and duties, the employee is expected to maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with all BSA/AML/OFAC regulations and all other regulatory, security and bank policies.

COMPANY CONFORMANCE:

In the performance of respective tasks and duties, the employee is expected to successfully perform quality work within deadlines with or without supervision, interact professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers; work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments and work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.

In the performance of respective tasks and duties, the employee is expected to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.
