Job Title: Pediatric Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)
Location: Kissimmee/Orlando FL
Employment Type: PRN
Pay: $45.00 per hour treatment session

Position Summary:

We are seeking a certified and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our pediatric therapy team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping children reach their developmental milestones and improve their functional independence through play-based and evidence-based approaches.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in implementing individualized therapy treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist (OT)
  • Provide direct therapy services to children in a variety of settings (clinic, school, home, or community)
  • Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner
  • Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and other professionals
  • Support the OT in assessments and re-evaluations as needed
  • Maintain a safe, fun, and motivating therapy environment
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to treatment planning and goal setting

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Current certification by NBCOT and licensed (or eligible) as a COTA in Florida
  • Pediatric experience preferred, especially in sensory integration, fine motor development, and ADLs
  • CPR Certification
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Positive attitude, flexibility, and a genuine passion for working with children
