Job description

EMTs are responsible for responding to all level of guest injuries both in the First Aid Office and on location throughout the waterpark. This position requires long periods of standing and walking in a fast pace environment with sunlight exposure and hot temperatures. Must have a current valid EMT-Basic certification to apply.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responding to and treating guest injuries Completing required documentation Ensuring First-Aid office is properly stocked Inventorying/ordering supplies as needed Coordinating with county EMS as needed Attends staff meetings and other meetings as requested

Perform all other duties as requested. Assist with creating and managing schedules, days off, trades, and all other schedule related duties. Motivate and lead a team of employees to provide outstanding service to the guest.

Leads by example Treats all team members with courtesy and respect Willing to help other areas of the park be successful as required Resolve guest complaints as they arise Works hands on over given periods of time to meet business demands to ensure that day to day operations run smoothly Act as a role model Team Members under your supervision by focusing on the demonstration of positive action, behavior, attendance, work ethic and guest service Oversees the operation of First Aid daily. Works closely with the Aquatics Manager to ensure all standards are being met. QUALIFICATIONSEducation and/or Professional Certification - Must have current EMT Certification - High school diploma or equivalent preferred Experience - 1-2 years of experience as an EMT preferred but not required Specialized Knowledge Keeps abreast of the latest happenings as it relates to EMT Skills Excellent guest service focus Problem solving and decision-making skills in high stress environment Abilities Must be able to communicate effectively with the public and other team members in verbal and written form Must be able to maintain a positive/friendly attitude Ability to work independently or with a team Follow and enforce all waterpark standards PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.The employee is regularly required to stand and walk for long periods of time

The employee is occasionally required to sit, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing50 pounds or less. The position requires manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to wet and or humid conditions; outside weather conditions and extreme heat.
