Position Overview: As a Trade Helper, General Laborer, Cleaner, Firewatch, or Power Tool Operator, you will support skilled workers in various tasks, ranging from general labor to machine operations and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist skilled trades workers in various maintenance tasks.
  • Perform general labor duties such as power tooling, painting, sanding, and site clean-up.
  • Operate specialized machines and assist with minor repairs under supervision.
  • Handle material pick-ups and deliveries and maintain tools and equipment inventory.
  • Safely operate hand and portable power tools (drills, grinders, saws, etc.).
  • Meet critical deadlines while multitasking.
  • Lift and transport heavy equipment (minimum of 30 lbs).
  • Work in diverse environments, including confined spaces, extreme temperatures, shipyards, and aboard vessels.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, including using PPE, and work in environments exposed to noise, fumes, and irritants.

Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience: 0-3 years in General Labor, Power Tooling, or similar fields.
  • Tools: You must provide essential hand tools (hammers, wrenches, pliers, etc.).
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in physically demanding conditions.
  • Safety: Familiarity with industrial safety protocols, including working in high-heat, humid, and noisy environments.

Work Environment: Most work will occur aboard ships, in shipyards, or in other industrial/commercial settings. Exposure to fumes, high heat, and other industrial hazards may occur, but proper PPE will always be provided.
