Job Title: Safety Instructor (Part-Time / As Needed)

Position Overview
Careers of America is seeking an experienced Safety Instructor to deliver safety training courses on an as-needed basis. This position is ideal for an experienced safety professional looking for a flexible, part-time opportunity to support workforce development across the maritime, energy, and industrial industries.

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver safety training in classroom and hands-on settings
• Instruct topics such as OSHA, hazard recognition, PPE, fall protection, confined space, firewatch, and general workplace safety
• Ensure instruction aligns with industry standards and safety regulations
• Maintain a safe, organized, and professional training environment
• Evaluate student participation and understanding
• Assist in preparing students for industry-recognized safety certifications when applicable

Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of safety experience in maritime, industrial, construction, or energy environments preferred
• OSHA 500, OSHA 510, CHST, CSP, NCCER, or other safety-related certifications preferred
• Strong knowledge of workplace safety standards and procedures
• Previous teaching or training experience preferred
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Reliable, professional, and able to work flexible hours

• Part-time / as needed
• Evening and weekend courses may apply
