Job description

Position Description:

Energetic and growing company in the firearms industry is seeking motivated individuals to join our team. The Sales Associate position is a critical team member that has direct interaction with our customers. Our associates are professional, respectful, helpful, and strive to provide the best customer experience in the industry. A successful candidate would be a person that takes initiative, never settles for mediocre, is always improving, is a constant/quick learner, and wants to grow in their career. We will consider all strong candidates, regardless of experience or skills. This position may lead to full time opportunities in the future.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Safely demonstrate product to customers and make recommendations.
  • Insure a pleasant, welcoming, and fun shopping experience for all customers.
  • Creates and maintains a safe environment for customers and employees.
  • Insures 4473 forms, and all other firearm and ammunition paperwork is completed thoroughly and accurately, to include ATF Forms, NICS background checks, etc.
  • Accurately log firearms for acquisition/disposition records.
  • Ships and/or transfers firearms as requested.
  • Create purchase orders to restock merchandise as required/introduce new products to inventory.
  • Operate cash register and use system to create sales orders.
  • Strictly follows all Company policies and procedures.
  • Keep our work area clean.
  • Assist with other ad hoc duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to legally own a firearm.
  • Understanding of ATF policies and guidelines.
  • Understanding of safety policies and practices involving firearms.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Employee must wear the company uniform.
  • Knowledge of guns and willingness to learn about them.
  • Consultative sales approach (i.e. - no personal bias toward a particular manufacturer).
  • Strong communication (written, oral and interpersonal skills).
  • Strong organizational skills and extreme attention to detail.
  • Familiar with standard concepts and practices within the retail environment.
  • Dependability, honesty, and commitment.
  • Must undergo background and reference check.
