Job description

We're looking for a proactive, hands-on HSE Specialist to join the team at AERONES. This isn't a desk-only role - you'll be in the field, climbing towers, walking sites, and working side-by-side with our technicians to make sure safety is lived, not just written in a policy.
If you have a strong background in Health, Safety, and Environmental practices and proven experience in the Wind Industry (or transferable Oil & Gas), we want to hear from you. This is a chance to build on your career in renewables while helping drive a strong, practical safety culture across our operations.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct on-site HSE audits, inspections, and tower climbs to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Lead and support toolbox talks, safety briefings, and emergency drills (tower rescue, first aid, fire response).
  • Monitor compliance with PPE use, working at heights, LOTO, and environmental controls.
  • Act as a visible HSE presence both in the field and office, promoting teamwork and a strong safety culture.
  • Investigate incidents to determine root causes, prepare reports, and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate HSE documentation, records, and reporting for audits and management.
  • Collaborate with Field Managers and cross-functional teams to identify risks and drive practical solutions.
Requirements:
  • Wind industry background required (onshore wind experience is essential).
  • Oil & Gas experience will be considered if field safety is core to the role.
  • GWO BST/ART certification preferred; if expired or not yet obtained, must be willing to complete (company-sponsored).
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, HSE compliance, audits, and incident reporting.
  • Ability and willingness to climb towers and work in rugged field conditions.
  • Physically fit and committed to safe practices.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to partner across teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field preferred but not required.
  • Relevant HSE certifications (NEBOSH, IOSH, etc.) a plus.
  • Full-time office presence required (Monday-Friday) in Denton, Texas. Candidates must reside in North Texas (North Dallas area preferred).
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

Benefits
We believe great work starts with feeling valued and supported. That's why we're building a thoughtful, competitive package of benefits and perks to help you thrive-professionally and personally-through every step of your career with us.
  • Health Insurance (80% employer contribution)
  • Dental & Vision Insurance
  • Term Life Insurance
  • Paid Time Off (20 days annually)
  • Sick Leave (5 days annually)
