Job description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Fire Sprinkler Estimator to join our dynamic team. As a Fire Sprinkler Estimator, you will play a crucial role in analyzing project requirements, conducting site assessments, and providing accurate cost estimates for fire sprinkler system installations. Your expertise will contribute to the success of our projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client expectations.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of project specifications, blueprints, and site conditions to determine the scope and requirements for fire sprinkler systems.
  • Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates, considering materials, labor, equipment, and other project-related expenses.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand their needs, provide technical expertise, and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Prepare and submit competitive and compelling bids for fire sprinkler system installations, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and local building codes.
  • Identify potential risks and challenges associated with projects, proposing effective solutions to mitigate issues and enhance project success.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and equipment, negotiating favorable terms to optimize project budgets.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of project estimates, bids, and relevant communications to support project tracking and reporting.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Extensive expertise in the design, hydraulic calculations, installation, and upkeep of fire protection systems, particularly wet and dry fire sprinkler systems
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant codes and standards (NFPA, state and local building codes, AHJ, etc.).
  • NICET Certification is preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of fire sprinkler systems, NFPA standards, and local building codes.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills for precise cost estimation.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with project management software and estimation tools.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000 - $100,000 per year + Commissions
Schedule: 8 hour shift - Monday to Friday
